Ben Kweller, an American singer-songwriter and multi-instrumentalist, has reported the passing of his son. Dorian Zev Kweller, the family’s 16-year-old son, died suddenly.

Ben Kweller broke the news of his son’s passing. “Our son, Dorian Zev Kweller, was slain last night (February 28th). “A real legend, he was just 16 years old—a friend to everybody, the sweetest, gentlest soul. You would know if you knew him. As long as we live on earth, we can never move past him. Please keep his memory and the music he created alive by following @reallyzev.

Dorian Zev, like his father, was an aspiring musician who published a few songs under the nickname ZEV.

His father stated, “Dorian Zev wrote and recorded songs daily.” “A real poet from the moment he first spoke. Only a few recordings were made public, but he was on a route and eager to travel. He had a tonne of plans! In two weeks, he had his debut performance at SXSW. He discussed wanting to make merchandise in our most recent text exchange. At the starting line, my son had a long life ahead of him. I don’t know why events like this take place. We are in utter shock and unsure of what lies ahead. Judah, Lizzy, and I are at a loss on how to handle this catastrophe. We appreciate your prayers and support and are sorry if we take a while to reply to messages.

The eldest child of Ben Kwller and his wife, Liz, was Dorain Zev. His parents and younger brother Judah are still alive. No information was given about the funeral services.

The cause of death isn’t made public. Everyone is saddened and inconsolable over the loss of Dorian, an incredible soul. On their social media, many paid him honour and expressed their sorrow.
