Derek Roan a Scots grandad farmer, dies after a farm accident, and tributes make their way for him.
Derek Roan lost his life after he was attacked by a cow at Barnbarroch Farm.
Grandad was taken to the Dumfries and Galloway Royal Infirmary, all the way from Barnbarroch Farm, near Dalbeattie. The incident happened on Sunday on a farm. He was badly injured and was unable to survive the major injuries that cost him to lose his life. Derek Roan was a popular scots farmer who had an accident on the family farm.
Scots grandad farmer called Derek Roan was 71-year-old. Derek Roan’s death was not taken under consideration by the police but the Health and Safety Executive was called and informed.
His family describes Derek’s dedication and hard work for farming in the following words, “All Derek’s hard work was for his two passions in life.”
“Derek was well known within the farming community and many other circles. He will be sadly missed by all.
Derek was married and was a dad of three Stuart, Steven, and Leeanne, at the Roan’s Dairy, Helm.
“It is with the deepest sadness to announce the tragic death of Derek Roan at Barnbarroch Farm, beloved husband to Kathleen, devoted father to Stuart, Steven, Leeanne, father-in-law to Aylett, Tracey, and Tony, and proud Papa to Fergus, Fraser, Andrew, Lucy, Daisy, and Skye.”
