Dale McRaven, the producer of famous American series such as ‘Distant Cousins’ or ‘Mork and Mindy’, in which the protagonist was Robin Williams, has died of complications from lung cancer he suffered at the age of 83.
The death occurred at the beginning of the month, on September 5, at his home in Porter Ranch in Los Angeles, according to the Daily Mail .
Dale was a major producer in ’70s, ’80s and ’90s Hollywood, as well as having a keen eye for spotting great actors, including Robin Williams.
McRaven had started to take his first steps in show business thanks to Marshall, being hired to be part of the writing team of The Joey Bishop Show, then working on projects such as The Dick Van Dyke Show, The Old Couple, Gomer Pyle, Bill Dana and Hey Landlord. Among the shows he has produced are The Partridge Family, Texas Wheelers, The Betty White Show and Angie.
