Bryan Dunagan, Senior Pastor at Highland Park Presbyterian Church, Passed Away At 44

Bryan Dunagan, who was serving as a 7th senior pastor at the 88th History of Highland Park Presbyterian Church in Dallas, died on Thursday, October 26, 2023.

The sudden passing of Bryan Dunagan was due to natural causes. It has been said that he was sleeping when he passed away. Highland Park Presbyterian Church announced the news of Bryan Dunagan’s death through a Facebook post in which they shared their condolences to the pastor.

About Bryan Dunagan

Bryan Dunagan was born in Texas and had a solid academic background. He earned his BA degree in political science from Stanford University. From 2002 to 2005, he was a part of the learning community at Regent College. He was also an alumnus of the Doctor of Ministry from Fuller Theological Seminary. He was one of the two prominent preaching pastors and also served his duty as a teacher at the 7,000-member Peachtree Presbyterian Church in Atlanta. In 2014, the Pastor Nominating Committee selected Bryan Dunagan as a senior pastor of Highland Park Presbyterian Church, and he spent nine years there with a mission to focus on teaching, outreach ministry, preaching, and working with young adults.

He played an integral role in the awareness of future generations and participation in weekly worship. His contributions to the highland church were widely noticeable in the community. He had also served his role beyond the pastor in a church. He served as a regional board member of Hope International and also held the role of student ministry associate at the first Presbyterian Church of Houston.

Church vigil and prayer announcement

To honor him, respect him, and pray for his last comforts, the church announced his vigil in the Sanctuary on Thursday, October 26, from 12 PM to 7 PM. The church also announced the payer time on Friday morning, October 27, from 9 to 9:45 AM in the church sanctuary and urged everyone to join them in prayers.
