People have paid tribute to Barry Mohan (28), a popular vocalist and guitarist with the band All Folk’d Up, of which his brother Pauric is the lead singer. Barry Mohan passed away on Monday morning after being killed in a car accident.
We are deeply regretful and shocked to learn of the passing this morning of Barry Mohan, guitarist, and outstanding musician with All Folk’d Up, in a road traffic collision last night, they wrote in a post announcing his passing on social media.
“Barry, the brother of the lead singer Pauric, was essential to the band’s success. His excitement and energy were always contagious on stage, and the local music industry will greatly miss him.
“We had collaborated with Barry for many years, and it was clear that his talent, expertise on and off stage, love of music, and passion and determination for the band were always there with a grin on his face.
The four events Barry was scheduled to perform with All Folk’d Up this weekend in England have been canceled. We offer our sincere condolences to Pauric, his mom Marina, his daughter Céala Rose, bandmates Ryan, Paddy, Szymon, and his entire family.
With the help of his tight bass lines and excellent vocal harmonies, Barry Mohan, the younger brother of Pauric Mohan, gave the band a thundering drive. Barry has played in the bar for a very long time.
Barry was very talented, professional on and off stage, and always focused on achieving success for the band. He was a gifted musician and frequently performed in the bar. Barry was a fantastic guitarist and a true gentleman.
