Influencer Melissa Celestine Koh from Singapore reported the death of her baby, who was one year and nine months old.
The mother, 34, acknowledged her son’s passing on April 7 by posting information about his wake on an Instagram story. He battled a cardiac problem until his death. He was a cute little child who won the hearts of everyone who met him. His entire family cherished him, and they all will miss him dearly.
Asher Matthias Chen, Koh’s kid, was born on June 17, 2021. His oxygen levels were found to have fallen hours after his delivery, necessitating the need to transfer him to the Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU) for better-individualised care.
Koh and her husband, James Chen, were advised that their child had a cardiac issue and required urgent surgery. Their infant underwent open heart surgery on June 18, 2021.
Since then, the parents have kept track of Chen’s development and health improvement. The infant required another surgery to correct his low oxygen levels a month later, but he was eventually released.
Hints about the son’s health:
In an Instagram post on March 30, Koh suggested Chen’s potentially deteriorating health, writing, “We’re not ready to lose you, baby Asher.”
Later on April 6, she published another reflective post with a picture of herself holding him on the beach. Other internet users, including influencers, have already offered condolences in the post’s comment sections.
In June 2019, Koh’s first child was born. She revealed in a post on Instagram dated January 2 that she is currently expecting a second child.
