“My heart hurts so deeply right now, buddy, that I’m at a loss for words. If I’m being honest, even though I’m trying to be tough, I’m struggling right now. Since you moved, I feel awful for not getting in touch, and it’s crushing my heart. Alex, I will never forget all the crap and experiences we had together because Scripp, you were the brother I always wanted to have as a kid. You improved my life by introducing me to the realm of emergency services. It’s not a farewell, but a see you later since I love you so much. I adore you, guy.”
Alex joined the Munhall Volunteer Fire Company No. 5 when he was just a young child, following in the footsteps of his father, uncle, and cousins. Over his career, he attained promotions to Lieutenant, Captain, and Assistant Chief.
After graduating high school, Alex fulfilled a boyhood passion by working as a firefighter in South Carolina. After graduating from college, he took his first employment with the cities of Beaufort and Port Royal.
He once performed some voluntary work for the Burton Fire District. When the Summerville Fire Department employed Alex as a Tiller-man, he finally accomplished his lifelong dream. His fellow firefighters admired Alex for his community leadership and skill.
