The actress Beatriz Álvarez-Guerra has died this Tuesday in Cotobade (Pontevedra) after the vehicle in which she was traveling plunged into the river.
The accident occurred around three in the afternoon on Tuesday in Loureiro, at kilometer 1 of the PO-235 highway.
At the wheel was Álvarez-Guerra’s partner, who according to the first hypotheses, left the road in an area of sharp curves, which caused the vehicle to fall from a height of ten meters. The Madrid actress drowned when she couldn’t get out of the car that was overturned in the Almofrei river. Both her partner, 24, and other drivers tried to help her out of it, but it was impossible. When the emergency teams arrived at the scene of the accident, they tried to revive Álvarez-Guerra without success.
The Civil Guard arrested the driver, who did not have a driving license, and is being investigated for a crime against road safety and reckless homicide. Subsequently, he has been released, but with charges.
Beatriz Álvarez-Guerra participated on television in the Anclados series and in several short films such as Los Inocentes, Todo al Rojo and El Tiempo.
