Sri Lankan Actor Jackson Anthony passed away at 65 on 9 October 2023. He was a strong man. Who fought between life and death for the last 14 months. The whole industry of Sri Lanka and followers of Jackson are in mourning due to their favorite actor passing.
Who was Jackson Anthony:
Jackson Anthony was born on 8 July 1985. He was a resident of Podiwee Kumbura, Ragama, Sri Lanka. Although many people know him as “Jackson,” his parents used to call him “Malsi.” Jackson received his primary education at Hapugoda St. Mary’s Junior School and then St. Mary’s College in Bandarawela, and later he joined Galahitiyawa Central College in Ganemulla.
He went to the University of Colombo for his higher education, where he first achieved an honors degree in Sinhala language and literature before completing his master’s degree in mass communication at the University of Sri Jayewardenepura.
Jackson began his career journey with theater and television, and then he joined the Cinema industry of Sri Lanka and got fame and love from that industry. Anthony won the award for Best Actor a record sixteen times. In the field of movies, He did numerous types of Jobs, such as He was a Director, Producer, Singer, Screen Writer, Television host, and multiple jobs, he did.
Jackson Anthony Cause of Death:
According to the report, Jackson was coming from a project shooting of Haththikuchchi Viharaya in Galgamuwa. Suddenly, a wild elephant came in front of their car, and both collided. The car was severely damaged. At that time, there is a possibility that wild elephant also get injured. Anthony was transferred from the Anuradhapura Teaching Hospital to the National Hospital in Colombo, where he had a seven-hour operation in the intensive care unit and has been a patient since 2 July 2022.
After 14 months of care and treatment, their family thought Jackson would be alright soon. But on Monday morning, he passed away.

Today is the day of mourning for Anthony’s family; he lost an essential family member. We can even imagine the pain and pressure that they are suffering from. The Anthony family didn’t announce any funeral details of him.
