Who was Abby Hand?

Abby Rivers Hand was a 20-year-old resident of Tifton, Georgia. She was born on December 8, 2002, to Lawren Hand and Brook Crumley Hand. She was known for her determination and zest for life. She had her whole life ahead of her, full of aspirations and dreams.

She graduated from Berrien High School in 2021. She attended Abraham Baldwin Agriculture College (ABAC) and had plans to study at Valdosta State University for the winter semester of 2024. She was a dedicated student who was committed to learning and personal growth.

She was a beloved Sigma Alpha- beta Nu Chapter member at ABAC. Everyone loved her. She made home at everyone’s heart with her warmth and positivity. She spread laughter and joy everywhere she went. She had a profound affection for animals and pets. She would make everyone around her feel special.

Abby Hand was involved in a car accident that left her with fatal injuries. She was travelling on Highway 82 when her vehicle collided with a cotton picker. She succumbed to her injuries sustained in the deadly accident and passed away in Macon just a week before her 21st birthday.

Abby Hand is survived by her parents, Lawren Hand of Alapaha and Brook Crumley Hand of Enigma; her sister, Laura Belle Hand of Enigma; her grandparents, Larry, Kathy Crumley of Enigma, Joan and Bill Drawdy of Alapaha; her aunts and uncles Heather Crumley of Enigma, Allyson Snipes of Canton, April Gordon (Blaine) of Savannah, Ben Crumley and Ryan Ali of Jacksonville, FL; and her cousins, Jake Purvis, Ashlyn Slayton, tanner Snipes, Thomas Snipes, Zachary Ware and Sam Snipes.

Her obituary was published on Echovita. The visitations will be held on Tuesday, November 28, 2023, from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at the Chapel of Bowen-Donaldson Home for Funerals (420 Love Ave, Tifton, GA 31794). A graveside service will be held on Wednesday, November 29, 2023, at the Enigma City Cemetery.
