The panorama of urban rock is in mourning, because this Thursday one of the best-known bands of the genre, El Haragán, announced the death of one of its members: the musician Jerónimo García Yerox.
Without giving details about the musician’s death, the group led by vocalist Luis Álvarez lamented his departure and highlighted the joy that he always radiated; He stressed that he was now starting a new path to meet one of his loved ones.
“Today the Haragán y Cía family, with a broken heart, has to say goodbye to one of its members, who undoubtedly leaves his mark on the stage, but above all on the soul of each one of this family, as you used to call us yourself,” the group added in the statement.
El Haragán reported that Jerónimo gave his “last effort” doing what he loved most, “playing.”
“Today our notes and song will accompany you towards the eternal light. Rest in peace.”
The news surprised the group’s fans, who immediately posted messages of support for the band and the trombonist’s family.
