“May your gentle soul rest in peace, Mrs. Jane Dolapo Balogun Morayo (Iya Yetunde).

My sincere condolences go to Yetunde Balogun (Yetty Balos), Deji Ibrahim Balogun (Wizkid), Alhaji Balogun, and the entire Balogun family.

I am still in shock! This is so sad!! You will be greatly missed.”

“The extent to which Wizkid loved his mom is unquantifiable. She was instrumental in his success.

She paid her dues as a mother.

Living in Surulere, I stumbled on Wizkid’s convoy several times on his way to visit her. He didn’t joke with his mother. He loved her to bits.

He’s one of the few artists who has released songs for his mom.

The first is “Mummy Mi,” and the second is “Joy.”

He once brought her to perform one of his hit songs, “I love my baby, that’s my baby.”

He never failed to express his undying love for his mom in interviews.

Regardless of the fanbase you belong to, whether you’re a 30BG, an FC, a Raver, or an Outsider. Use these few seconds to type RIP to acknowledge the departure of a beautiful soul.

RIP Mrs Jane Dolapo Balogun. Heaven gained an angel.”
