Veteran actor Miguel Faustmann passes away, Filipino theatre remembers the legacy of the renowned actor.

Veteran theater, film, TV actor, and director starred in several famous plays, including his stage performance in Evita as Juan Peron, The Sound of Music as Captain Von Trapp, and A Christmas Carol as Ebenezer Scrooge passed away peacefully on Sunday, May 15.

The confirmation of his death came from his brother called, Juan Luis Faustmann, in a Facebook post on Monday.

“We are deeply saddened we have lost our brother Miguel who passed away peacefully in his sleep on May 15. We will share more information on his memorial service in the coming days.”

Miguel Faustman starred in several stage productions of Repertory Philippines since 1970. King Arthur in Camelot, Monsieur Thernadier in Les Miserables, and Don Quixote in Man of La Mancha are a few of his famous iconic characters loved by millions of fans.

Miguel Faustman was also very successful in the television industry. He was the first actor who worked on GMA Network and played the iconic character of Bathalang Emre.

Recently he also appeared in the film series called Heneral Luna and Goyo: Ang Batang Heneral.
