Lynda Baron was an English actress, comedian, and singer. Moreover, she will be remembered for her role in the BBC Sitcom Open All Hours. She performed the role of Nurse Gladys Emmanuel.
The shooting of the BBC sitcom Open All Hours started in the 1970s the series ran for the next four seasons. Baron worked with opposite Sir David Jason, Stephine Cole, and Ronnie Barker.
She often worked for the BBC Children’s programme Come Outside, which was telecasted in the 1990s. The series ran from 23 September 1993 to 18 March 1997, starring Lynda Baron as Auntie Mabel and her dog ‘Pippin’.
Auntie Mabel of BBC sitcom Open All Hours Star was the main character in the show. Her character encouraged the children to learn and get the most out of the world around them. Auntie Mabel used to walk wearing a polka-dotted dress along with her dog Pippin.
