León, Gto.- José Rafael Albrecht was a fine player, an insurmountable central defender, and gifted with a refined technique of hitting the ball. He added feats in his campaigns with the León Club between 1970 and 1974 and is considered another of the great icons of the team.

In the defense of the Esmeraldas, he had as a companion and pupil Héctor ” Cuirio ” Santoyo, who died just a few days ago.
