The Kenyan police have arrested over 16 Boda Boda riders after they have sexually assaulted a female motorist.
It was around 5 pm when the incident happened at the junction of Barabara Tano road and Professor Wangari Maathai road.
According to our reports, the incident happened last Friday. The incident took place near Nairobi’s Wangari Maathai road. The traffic commandant Joshua came forward and talked about the incident to the media, “The Boda Boda Riders have sexually assaulted a female motorist, all the sixteen riders have been locked up and five motorcycles have been impounded by the police.”
While addressing the media, Joshua Omukata who is a Nairobi Area Traffic Commandant officer said that the lady who was sexually assaulted had made a police report over the incident on Monday, after listening to the 32-year-old victim the police have arrested and has made a team of detectives to investigate the issue as soon as possible.
Reportedly, the victim had hit a walker, and after a moment she was surrounded by angry Boda Boda riders.
Mr. Omukata adds more, “She attempted to drive away from the scene but the dozens of motorcycle riders blocked her, forced themselves into the car, and sexually assaulted her as seen in the video.”
The suspects are currently being detained at the Parklands police station in Nairobi, awaiting arraignment upon completion of investigations.
