Jeff Gladney Dies in Accident: What Happened To Him?

The NFL mourned the death of Arizona Cardinals cornerback Jeff Gladney in a car accident near downtown Dallas early Monday morning, league insider Mike Garafolo reported.

Arizona Cardinals cornerback Jeff Gladney died after a crash in Dallas, his agent confirmed to the Fort Worth Star-Telegram.

The Arizona Cardinals team also confirmed the death of Gladney, who was 25 years old.

“We are devastated to learn of the passing of Jeff Gladney,” the Cardinals’ official Twitter page posted.

“Our hearts go out to his family, friends, and all who mourn this tremendous loss,” the tweet reads.

The official NFL Twitter also mourned the player’s death.

“The NFL family mourns the tragic loss of Jeff Gladney and we express our deepest condolences to his family and loved ones,” the football league tweeted.

The bailiff and the medical examiner have not yet confirmed his identity.

The only fatal vehicle accident in Dallas that has been reported so far occurred in the early hours of Monday.

In that crash, the Dallas County Sheriff’s Office said, a man and a woman were killed after a vehicle rolled over.

However, the Dallas County Sheriff’s Office said they can’t confirm the identities of that deadly crash yet.
Gladney’s background

Gladney also played at Texas Christian University from 2017 to 2019. The Minnesota Vikings drafted him afterward.

In 2019, Gladney had been indicted by a Grand Jury for felony assault on a woman, the AP reported.

A Dallas jury found him not guilty in March 2022 with a unanimous verdict, according to ESPN.

Details of the accident and his death remain under investigation.
