How Did Dylan Talley Die? What Was His Cause Of Death?

The news hit Devane Center, the same building where former Nebraska guard Dylan Talley shook Husker fans with a triple whistle against Iowa nine years ago.

His Nebraska coach, current NU assistant Doc Sadler, brought the news on Friday. Nebraska coach Fred Hojberg conducted Saturday morning.

“It’s very sad,” Hojberg said. “he was an incredible guy who would do anything for his teammate and (he) would play hard and hard. Our thoughts and prayers are with his family. ”

Talley played for Nebraska in 2011-2013 and joined the Huskers as a junior during Sadler’s final season as a coach. The 6-foot-5 goalkeeper had an average of 8.9 points per game in his first season and is at the top of the top 10 bench players.

Talley was captain during his first year in 2012-13 and led Nebraska, scoring 13.7 points per game. He also averaged 4.9 rebounds and 2.5 assists, leading to the selection of an All-Big Ten supervisor. Talley was the first Husker to receive such an award after the NU conference changed in 2011.

After graduating, Talley played abroad for teams in Germany and the Czech Republic. But he will remember Lincoln forever as Husker.

Sadler tweeted Saturday morning that Talley was a “beautiful person inside and out.” Former Husker Lance Jeter tweeted that Tally was “special.” Husker’s former assistant coach Chris Croft said on Twitter that Tally has a “big heart and a great smile.”

Hoiberg, who spoke with Sadler on Saturday morning, said the NU assistant was fine.

“But losing a player for what you (Tally) did to Sadler is very difficult.”
