He ended his career in 1991 with the colors of America, but a season before he was a member of Monterrey, that was where Giovani dos Santos was born, and before his retirement was the birth of Jonathan in Mexico City.

Zizinho was born in the province of Pernambuco, Brazil, on June 11, 1962. He began his professional career with the Sao Paulo Soccer Club. In 1980 he arrived at the Águilas del América, where he stayed for two seasons before leaving for Club León. He played with the Esmeraldas for a year and returned to Coapa for the 1983-84 season. Then he went to Necaxa, Club Deportivo FAS of El Salvador and Monterrey . In 1990-91 he retired wearing the cream blue shirt, where he played the final against the Pumas of the National University.
