“Our condolences to Alex’s family, friends, and loved ones,” Grant County Coroner Craig Morrison said in a written statement reproduced by CNN. “Coroner Morrison’s staff will perform an autopsy on Friday to confirm the cause and manner of death, which is normal procedure,” they added from the Grant County Sheriff’s Office.
Alex Harvill, who just welcomed his second baby last month, also held several world records for motorcycle jumping. The last one he had achieved in 2013 when he flew 297 feet (90.5 meters) in a jump between two dirt ramps.
Robbie Maddison, holder of the record that Harvill wanted to break, has sent through the networks a message of condolences to his wife Jessica, whom he married in 2019 and had their children Willis and Watson.
