SANTO DOMINGO.- Bachata singer Manny Jhovanny died this Saturday morning after hitting his vehicle with the back of a truck.
Manny was driving a white BMW SUV. The musician, Julio Dolores Díaz Almonte “Manny Jhovanny”, was a native of Agua Clara, Santiago Rodríguez.
His body is currently in the old Villa Altagracia Social Security hospital.
The accident occurred at Km 36 of the Duarte highway in the Santo Domingo-Santiago direction.
A source revealed to El Nacional that, after ending a party in Dajabón, Manny Jhovanny traveled to Santo Domingo to take a relative to the José Francisco Peña Gómez International Airport of Las Américas and upon returning, crashing on the way back
His songs include Speak about me, the neighbors, Make me blame, What a barbarian it was, among others.
It is recalled that Manny Jhovanny received three bullet wounds in 2008 by unknown persons who took away his vehicle and a cell phone. On that occasion, he was on the brink of death and spent several days in intensive care at HOMS in Santiago.
According to collected data, the incident occurred while he was traveling in the direction of Santo Domingo – Cibao.
After learning of the bachatero’s death, early this Saturday, people began to express their regret after hearing about this news.
“I feel sorry for that. Rest in Peace, ”Genesis wrote in the artist’s latest publication via Instagram.
In 2002, Jhovanny released his first production, entitled “Me engañaste”
Two years later, “El dueño del swing”, as he is also known, released his second production called “En vivo y directo”.
