Actor Jorge Cerruti Dies At 77 Years Old

Actor, director, and voice actor Jorge Cerruti died aged 77. The information was confirmed by the niece, who informed in a publication on the artist’s Facebook that the wake will take place this Friday (1).

“Good morning, this is Jorge’s niece. I’m here to inform you that my uncle’s wake will be today from 4 pm to 7 pm at Ceremonial do Pacaembu, at Av. Pacaembu, 1,254, São Paulo”, informs the publication. She also left a simple tribute to her uncle.

“You will be missed, uncle. Rest in peace, we love you,” he wrote. Jorge is known for his work in film, television, and theater. He began his career as a pianist in plays and soon moved to act, making his television debut in the 70s on TV Cultura.

He participated in the adaptation of internationally famous plays, such as MacBeth and Ricardo III, creations of William Shakespeare. Among his most famous works in cinema are the films O Cheiro do Ralo (2006) and A Casa de Alice (2007).

On television, in addition to the series  Cama de Gato (2005), in which he was present for more than one season, he is also part of the cast of As Five, Globo’s success with a new season launched on Globoplay with the actor’s presence.
