According to her mother, a girl died from an accidental fentanyl overdose. Trinity Cornejo, Chrisa Cornejo’s daughter, who was 17 years old, passed away. The mother from Fullerton thinks her daughter’s accidental fentanyl overdose caused her death.
Fullerton police did not confirm Trinity’s fentanyl overdose to Eyewitness News, and an autopsy report has not yet been made public. Her mother, though, is convinced that fentanyl is to blame for her daughter’s passing.
According to the police, the original assumption was a fentanyl overdose that was unintentional, Cornejo added.
The teenager from Fullerton attended Troy High School. Her mother and Paz, her 6-year-old sister, is left behind. Trinity, according to Cornejo, had returned home from a party with friends on September 30 before Trinity’s aunt discovered her unconscious.
According to Cornejo, she thinks her daughter’s drug experimentation was her first. She said she hopes others take this as a lesson and that her daughter’s death wasn’t in vain.
According to Cornejo, drug dealers are interacting with teenagers on social media. She wants to speak to her parents.
To help them through this challenging time, the Cornejo family has set up two GoFundMe sites for funeral and family expenses. Countless people gave, and they are still contributing. A total of about $21,325 has been collected.
Trinity was a lovely, intelligent, charming, and charitable person. Paz, Paz’s 6-year-old sister, thought Trinity was the best big sister. Her softball playing skills were outstanding. She set herself up for failure since her hopes and goals were so ambitious. Our loss of our dear sister, niece, daughter, friend, and so many more have left us inconsolable.
“Graceful, gentle, a great champion of the underdog, a huge advocate for mental health awareness,” Cornejo recalls her daughter as being.
