The cheering community and the general public are devastated by the tragic death of Louisville/Gymtyme alum Eric Ortiz. Eric Ortiz passed away unexpectedly on Saturday, October 22, 2022. The reason for his passing, though, was not made public.

Eric was a superb athlete and teammate who was always friendly to me. His enthusiasm, kindness, and presence are sorely missed. My sympathies go out to his family. Bro, rest in peace,” a social media memorial message proclaimed.

GymTyme’s former All-Star cheerleader joined the College of Louisville to support the Cardinals. He also joined the Louisville dance team. Since then, he has become a CMSRN in New York City, where he accepts incredibly demanding and travel nursing positions. In Louisville, Kentucky, he most recently worked in a bar named Tengo Sed Bar.
At Fresenius Clinical Consideration, he became a recognized clinical hemodialysis specialist. He graduated from the College of Louisville with a single-wolf degree in nursing. He has won the title eleven times in front of the general public. He enjoys keeping a journal, reading, figuring things out, and pursuing them until they satisfy him.
In general, Eric was pleasant to me. He was also a fantastic companion and competitor. His soul, presence, and love will be sorely missed. My condolences go out to his family. Finding happiness in the hereafter, the sibling wrote a memorial post shared over online entertainment.
