Voice Actress Ana Lúcia Menezes Dies Aged 46

The Pernambuco Ana Lúcia Menezes, known for her voice acting in several successful series, passed away on Tuesday (20), after complications caused by a stroke that occurred last Friday (17). The information was released by her daughter, Bia Menezes, in a publication on social networks. Bia is also a voice actor and wrote on Instagram that she will continue her mother’s legacy.

“You wrote a story here, and I have an obligation to continue it because I know it would be exactly as you would like me to do. You fought until the last minute, now it’s time to rest and enjoy what God has prepared for you”, commented Bia.

With over 30 years of career, the voice of Ana Lúcia is present in works such as Tonya, in Everybody hates Chris; Sam Pucket, in iCarly ; Ahsoka Tano, in Star Wars: The Clone Wars; Lupita, in Rebelde and Suzy, in Peppa Pig.

Two days earlier, Bia shared videos in which Ana Lucia herself – still interned at Clínica São Vicente, in Rio de Janeiro – explained her health situation.
“I went to take a shower, I called my daughter. I thought I was going to pass out. I asked her to come running. I felt a very bad headache as if something had broken out here. I was out for almost three hours. I think everything will be okay. I’m not seeing very well, my eyes are blurred. But one thing at a time “, said the voice actress at the time.
Ana had last Sunday (18) surgery to remove clots in the brain caused by a stroke, popularly known as a stroke but did not recover after the procedure.
The actress and voice actress leaves behind an extensive production of films, novels, and series such as “Rebelde”, “Mamma Mia”, “My First Love”, “Spirited Away”, “Power Rangers” and “Angel Face”. In “Peppa Pig”, she played the character Susie Ovelha. The protagonist, Peppa, has the voice of her daughter, Bia.
