Robert Vilera, a well-known and gifted percussionist, musical director, and inhabitant of Miami, Florida, passed away sadly on Friday, November 11, 2022. Tycoon Percussion posted a message on Facebook announcing his passing.
The precise cause of death has not yet been determined, but according to her health, Vilera was experiencing septic shock, which impacted the functioning of numerous organ systems. The fundraising effort, which was intended to raise $20,000, has already reached $100,665.

Robert Vilera was born in Caracas, Venezuela, where he was exposed to Afro-Cuban and Venezuelan rhythms. Through his adolescent years, Vilera received instruction and encouragement on the timbales from his father, a well-known percussionist in his own country.
He joined the well-known musical group Oscar D’Leon, where he received extensive global exposure. Robert played various other percussion instruments in addition to the timbale, including congas, bongos, drum set, djembe, Cajon, and a wide range of other percussion instruments.
