Robbie Knievel, daredevil and son of stuntman Evel Knievel has died at the age of 60, according to a source close to the family. Robbie was in palliative care for the last few days as he was fighting hard against pancreatic cancer that he had been dragging for quite some time. Knievel died in the early hours of this Friday accompanied by his daughters.
The well-known “Kaptain Robbie Knievel”, followed in his father’s footsteps from a very young age. At four he got to jump on his bike and when he was eight he performed in Evel’s show at Madison Square Garden. During his career, he went on to perform more than 350 jumps in which he set 20 world records.
