The sad news of Orion Bekelja’s demise was announced by Citizens Fire Company #1 of Penbrook through a social media post that reads:
“We at Citizens Fire Company No.1 of Penbrook are deeply saddened to announce the sudden passing of active firefighter Orion Bekelja. Firefighter Bekelja joined our department in 2011 and remained active until 2015. Orion joined the department again in September 2022 and has been active since. Orion was also a member of Swatara fire company and Steelton fire company. Please keep Orion’s family and friends in your thoughts and prayers. We all will miss you.

The Fire Company mourns the loss of a dedicated fireman who was declared dead following an accident, along with all other fire companies, family members, and friends. They are missing and remembering Orion, paying tributes and sending condolences to him.

Orion Bekelhia, a native of Newberrytown, Pennsylvania, attended Harrisburg Area Community College (HACC), the community college for Central Pennsylvania.
He was a great man with a loving nature and kind heart; he had some amazing qualities that stood him out. Orion was a dedicated firefighter who was always honest with his work and commitments.
