Lily Safra, one of the richest women in the world and widow of banker Edmond Safra, died today (9), aged 87, in Geneva, Switzerland, the cause of death was not reported. The burial will be on Monday, the 11th. The information was given by journalist Lauro Jardim in her column in the newspaper O Globo.
Lily Safra’s net worth is valued at US$1.3 billion (approximately R$6.8 billion), according to Forbes’ annual list. The amount is part of the inheritance left by Safra, who died in Monaco in 1999.
