A third emergency call was made at 5:11 p.m. reporting the discovery of a fatal male victim, age 29, following a shooting on Donaghey Avenue and Simms Street.
The three separate but allegedly connected shootings were the subjects of an investigation by the Conway Police Department. Prince Michael Ajetunmob, a 32-year-old suspect from Conway, was the target of their intensive search.
Conway PD and surrounding local, state, and federal agencies launched an intense investigation. Soon after 8:00 p.m. When Arkansas State Police found the suspect, a pursuit started and stopped close to the 126-mile mark. The officers didn’t respond when the suspect opened fire on them as he ran from the car. After that, the suspect made off into the woods. The suspect was discovered in a nearby field at about 8:30 p.m. with a self-inflicted gunshot wound. The suspect was taken to a nearby hospital for treatment.
