Influencer Jesse Koz Died: Everything You Need To Know

The Brazilian Jesse Koz, known for traveling the world with his old Beetle, died in a traffic accident in the state of Oregon, in the US, on Monday (23). The information was shared on the influencer’s social networks.

An aunt of Jesse’s spoke about the accident on the profile of his store, where products for people and dogs were sold. He used that money to finance travel.

According to G1, she said that the accident happened in the city of Grants Pass, also killing the dog, but did not give further details. “Our boys are gone, we are trying to resolve the document issues to bring them home,” she wrote.

According to the local website KDRV, Jesse was driving when he went around a car that had slowed down. Upon returning to the track, he would have lost control and the Beetle collided head-on with a Ford Escape coming in the opposite direction. The driver of the other car, Eileen Huss, 62, was hospitalized with minor injuries. A two-year-old child she was carrying was not injured. Jesse died on the spot.

Jesse traveled through the countries of America in the 1978 Beetle, nicknamed Dodongo, and the dog, Shurastey, a golden retriever.

The influencer planned to arrive in Alaska, in the US, in September. It would be another chapter of the project “Shurastey or Shuraigow?”, playing with the song “Should I Stay or Should I Go”, by the band The Clash.

More than 400,000 people followed the adventure on Jesse’s Instagram. In all, he visited 16 countries.

At the end of 2018, he passed through Bahia. Here, he passed through places like Porto Seguro, Itacaré, and Arraial d´Ajuda until finally parking in Salvador, where he stayed in the apartment of a follower who also has a golden. “We are delighted with the city, ” Jesse told columnist Alexandre Lyrio at the time. In the capital, he visited some tourist attractions such as Farol da Barra, Pelourinho, and Elevador Lacerda, always with his friend by his side.

Jesse, from Curitiba, was a salesman in a shopping mall shop when he decided to drop everything and follow his dream of seeing the world. He sold the bike, bought the old Beetle, and hit the road next to Shurastey.
