Gilbert High School is going through a difficult time since Hudson Schirra, a teen and talented young student and former baseball star, died in a tragic car accident on October 21, 2023. The incident occurred on a peaceful Sunday morning on Interstate 75 South.

Who was Hudson Schirra?
A brilliant person, Hudson Schirra profoundly affected those who knew him. He proved his skill in sports and commitment as a former baseball player at Gilbert High School, winning the respect and admiration of both teammates and opponents. From 2020 to 2022, Schirra played baseball for the Gilbert club. He was a great player, and with his skills, he made many contributions to win the match against opponents.
His passing made his teammates and coaches heartbroken because he was a beloved and respected teammate. Hudson’s coach said some words to honour him:
“Hudson was a great teammate and a joy to coach,” said Gilbert baseball coach John Smith. “He was always positive and upbeat, and he always had a smile on his face. He will be deeply missed by everyone who knew him.”

Funeral Details:
The Hudson family, going through a difficult circumstance after losing their kid unexpectedly, has not released any information on the official Funeral arrangements. They are shocked in this time of loss and need time to heal from this pain. We expect the details of the funeral will be made public soon.
On Tuesday, October 24, at 7:00 p.m., the Gilbert baseball team will hold a memorial service for Hudson Schirra at Gilbert High School. The whole public is invited.
