Abuja. Popular Nigerian gospel music singer Osinachi Nwachukwu has died.
Osinachi who became famous for her song ‘Ekwueme’ sung in collaboration with Pastor Prospa Ochimana passed away last Friday, April 8, 2022, at Abuja Hospital while undergoing treatment.
However, initial reports indicate that she was suffering from throat cancer and was in treatment for about two months.
Before she died, Osinachi sang a spiritual song that shook the earth and even those who listened to it drew their hearts closer to God.
She used to write music books and became famous for her songs written with another famous artist Prospa Ochimana “EKWUEWE”. The song is so popular that it has reached over 21 million viewers on YouTube.
The singer, who died at the age of 42, is a native of Imo State, located in southeast Nigeria, and is survived by her husband and four children.
Apart from being a singer she is also a composer and during her lifetime she suffered from various hits apart from Ekwueme there is “Nara Ekele,” she sang with Pastor Paul Enenche of Dunamis Abuja church, and “You no dey use me play” she sang with Emma.
What people will never forget is that he used to speak in her native language, Igbo always sang and her body language rose.
Osinachi left with her husband and four children.

“Just six days ago I called Mr. Peter Nwachukwu to express my intention to put out a song with her wife Osinachi Nwachukwu and meet together,” Edwin wrote on Facebook.
“They accepted my invitation but asked me to give them time to pray about it.
“I came to Abuja on Monday and I called them again, they said they would answer my call.”
“Edwin was on the phone the next day with the phone ringing” until this moment when I saw the news, and I called them to find out if it had really happened.
