He was also a gifted actor and a wonderful friend.
Chicago, Illinois, is where Desmond Gray was born and grew up. In addition to working in guest services at the Goodman Theatre, he formerly worked in men’s clothing at Bloomingdale’s. He occasionally appears on Chicago Fire and Chicago.D in addition to his role as Paramedic Desmond on Chicago Med. In the audience at the Goodman Theater, Desmond was such a delight.

Tonight at seven o’clock, his final visit will air on NBC for the last time, capping the network’s coverage of his career.
