For years, Bob Beckel classified the political events as a Fox presenter. It has now been announced that he has died at the age of 73. This was confirmed by Fox News host Sean Hannity on his show on Monday.
Author and radio host Cal Thomas also reported on Bob Beckel’s death. “My friend and spiritual brother, Bob Beckel, has stepped into the presence of the Lord he loved. We have done so many things together and I hope that we have been an example of what two people with different political persuasions are like when they love each other,” Cal Thomas wrote on Facebook. What Bob Beckel died of is currently still unclear.

He will be greatly missed. I will pray for his family,” said another Facebook user.

Bob Beckel led Walter Mondale’s unsuccessful 1984 presidential campaign. Despite the failure, the liberal remained true to his advisory function and founded his own lobbying and consulting firm. In 2003 he advised Alan Blinken on the US Senate campaign in Idaho.

He was also well known as a speaker and moderator. During the Clinton presidency, he co-hosted CNN’s “Crossfire” for three years. In 2000 he joined Fox News, where he initially worked as a political analyst. In 2011, he then co-hosted The Five. Fox News fired him in 2015. “We tried to work with Bob for months, but we couldn’t hold The Five hostage to one man’s personal problems,” Fox News programming director Bill Shine said of the firing.
