Erin Larine Phillips Died After Saving Many Lives by Donating Organs

Erin Larine Phillips passed away after six painful days, according to her mother Teresa, around 9:25 a.m. on August 30, 2023, Erin was declared brain dead but she saved lives before her death by giving her organs to individuals who needed them.

Teresa Garza-Hopp, an OB registered nurse at Mercy Hospital Ada, verified Erin’s death through a Facebook post and wrote:

“Every mother’s biggest nightmare is right now. My darling girl died. She was pronounced brain dead at 9:25 this morning after six exhausting days. She proudly donated her organs, and SIX people have been chosen to help her spirit live on.

Keep her three children in your prayers as they navigate life without their mother, everyone. Riley is six years old, Addy is three months old, and Grayson is eleven. The way things were when I went to bed on August 23 will no longer apply. “

Erin’s decision to give her organs, a move that would likely save the lives of six people, demonstrated her kindness. Her generosity is carried on through this gesture, leaving the world forever changed.

Despite this sorrow, Erin’s legacy is seen. She displayed a remarkable compassion that can forever touch lives, even in her final moments. Thoughts and condolences to her family in this challenging time; her funeral details have not been published yet. Rest in peace, Erlin Larine.

Teresa Garza also posted Erin’s last video on her Facebook account with the caption:

“Due to short notice or lack of availability, I am aware that everyone was unable to attend, I want her friends and children to understand what a true hero she was. They were able to position her pancreas very well. So, during the past few days, 7 families received calls that changed their lives. I Love you a lot.”
