Daniel Jones, a talented composer and Janet Jackson’s musical director, passed away recently, and the music industry is grieving. His wife, Breshae, posted a confirmation of the news on Facebook.

His followers were very interested to learn the cause of his death as soon as the news of his passing circulated, but the family withheld any details.

When the family decides on funeral arrangements, they will also announce them so Daniel’s loved ones can attend his final rites.

Everyone was shocked to learn of the passing of their favourite musician, and they right began to mourn, remember, and pay tributes to him.

“It’s really hard to say goodbye. Daniel Jones, my bro, I’m gonna miss you, man. #TillWeMeetAgain This World just seems smaller without you here now. #ThereWillNeverBeAnother You were and still are Legendary, and it was a pleasure to know you as a friend and fellow musician. Some cats got so “big” that they looked down on playing in church, but then you would come off the road with JT or Janet Jackson or Kesha Cole or from the Grammys or playing at the Super Bowl and go right to the organ on Sunday morning. I saw that brother, and I knew then that you were different. I never told you, but that inspired me to my core. I thank God for your life and leadership and mentorship. I will remember you always and will keep your family lifted in prayer. Rest well, brother, and I’ll see you at Jesus.”

If we talk about Jones, he was a keyboardist and producer from Dallas who went to Booker T. Washington High School for the Performing and Visual Arts and began touring as a young adult.

A gospel group called God’s Property from Dallas approached him about joining in the late 1990s. The band made television appearances, had the number-one hit “Stomp,” and their album achieved double platinum status.

He has performed on stages with famous names like Timbaland and Jay Z, played piano for Justin Timberlake, directed the music for Janet Jackson, and even has a double platinum album. He also performed music at Griggs Chapel. Additionally, he frequently performed at the TBAAL MLK civil rights performances.

He was a visionary influencer and creative with a lot of experience, and he was ready to enhance his musical journey by acting as a mentor.
