Bobby Nalzaro Died: What Was His Cause Of Death? Funeral

Veteran broadcaster Bobby Nalzaro has passed away on Thursday, March 17, 2020. He was the backbone of Cebu’s tri-media personalities, a legendary Filipino journalist, radio commentator, and columnist.

His cause of death was multiple organ failure, according to Bobby Nalzaro’s friend and fellow Superbalita Cebu columnist Eddie Barrita, and the funeral is yet not announced!

Radio DYSS has reported that he was hospitalized on December 24, 2021, after a mild stroke, which he suffered. In January he was discharged from the hospital but was admitted again because of facing severe hypertension and kidney complications.

He was also affected by Coronavirus Covid-19 but eventually recovered. On Monday, March 14, he was rushed to the Intensive Care Unit. He was seriously affected by Pneumonia.

He was 58 years old and colossally contributed to GMA Regional Network, which verified his death news in a Facebook post.

GMA Regional Network grieved the death of beloved Kapuso Pablito “Super Bob” G. Nalzaro and expressed it in a statement published on the Facebook page in their news program Balitang Bisdak, where he was the core anchor since 1999.

Bobby Nalzaro, a loyal Kapuso and dedicated professional journalist will be remembered for the services he has rendered to the GMA Regional Network and will not be forgotten, as expressed by the network.

At super Radyo DYSS, he was also the Station Manager, commentator, and passionate writer of the weekly column Superbalita, the Cebuano Language newspaper of SunStar Cebu.

His last columns for SunStar Cebu were published on Monday, January 17, 2022, titled “Health is Wealth” and “Media Bias” which were published on Monday. January 24, 2022.

The Cebu Citizen press council (CCPC) expressed deep sorrow in a statement on Thursday “Cebu lost an unforgettable media icon.”

CCPC executive director Pachico Seares also stated;

“Bobby achieved the kind of success that eludes most other; he earned the trust of a vast and loyal audience.”

The CCPC also added by saying that he thrived in controversies and verbal fights but he urged his colleagues that “sometimes we need to get wet and dirty, even mugged and bruised so we can shout the truth from the rooftop.”

Bobby Nalzaro held a degree in mass communication from the Ateneo de Zamboanga. He had several copious awards and had included KBP national award for Best Public Affairs Program Host for radio, which was concluded and won in 2004 over Manila-based Radio-TV personality Korina Sanchez.

The Cebu Provincial Government also honored him with the first batch of Gardo Sa Sugbo. He was also honored with Achiever’s Award in Mass Media by the Zamboanga del Norte Provincial Government, his home province.

Bobby Nalzaro didn’t have any insights about his value earnings even when he was alive. However, he had an enormous journalism profession and he adored a veteran status within the vicinity.
