Andrew Trowbridge, 35, of Ham Lake, died on January 29, 2023. According to the NBC affiliate in the Twin Cities, Trowbridge passed away unexpectedly over the weekend following a “brief illness.”
There isn’t any information available on the funeral services. Already, Andrew is remembered and missed by everyone. They use social media to express their respect and sympathy for him.
“At KARE 11, the past few days have been challenging. We are mourning the loss of our buddy and coworker. Andy was a wonderful person. I would go to him whenever I needed assistance covering a sports-related story, and he was always willing to assist. This news has startled us all.”
He has been employed in the television industry for about 15 years, initially as a sports department intern and then as a producer of the weekend sports programs Vikings Extra and Randy Shaver’s Prep Sports Extra on KARE.
Schafer employed Trowbridge as an intern, and on Tuesday night’s news program, Schafer gave a moving tribute to him, saying: “Andy is charming, kind, insightful, hilarious, the kind of guy who can be a part of your life. Friend guy He is. At the time of his passing, he was a resident of Ham Lake. He attended Anoka High School and graduated from the University of Minnesota with a journalism degree.
Jana Shortal, the host of KARE 11’s Breaking The News, wrote on Twitter: “Andy makes us better. EVERYDAY. We are devastated to have lost him. Andy, embrace your culture and soar with the angels.
Ryan Shaver, a former sportscaster at KARE 11, the son of Shaver, claimed that Trowbridge, also known as “Stump,” had “the biggest heart.” “He helped me up while I was down a lot. Although blunt, he was sensitive. Snarky but always sensitive. I missed our weekly conversations in the sports office when we were the only two employees,” he said.
