Tragedy On Line 12 Of The CDMX Metro: 38 People Remain Hospitalized

Claudia Sheinbaum , Head of Government of Mexico City, held a press conference to update the information on the crash of a route on Line 12 of the Metro.

Myriam Urzúa, secretary of Comprehensive Risk Management and Civil Protection , updated the number of fatalities and people hospitalized.

He explained that so far, 31 injured people have been discharged and 38 remain hospitalized , of which 75% are stable and only 5% have a serious state of health. While there are 25 deaths caused by the incident.

He also assured that DNV , the company based in Norway that will be hired to carry out the external expertise, is already at the scene of the incident collecting the necessary information to determine the causes of the incident .

He announced that this independent certifier has been in operation since 1864 , accumulates 150 years of experience, and has a presence in more than 100 countries. In addition , she is an expert in risk management, forensic analysis and root appraisals of catastrophic causes in strategic facilities.

He recalled that DNV was in charge of carrying out the forensic analysis of the explosion of the Water Horizon oil plant of the British Petroleum company.
