Singer Alex Quintero Is Shot Dead On Stage

The Mexican singer was shot during a presentation he gave at a private party in Sonora, Mexico. During the attack, two other people were injured.

Alex Quintero, a corridos singer, was assassinated at dawn on Sunday, April 25, in Ciudad Obregón, Sonora, during a private party. The 22-year-old Mexican performer was shot while singing on stage, reported the Mexican daily Sin Embargo.

The crime occurred around 3:45 am in the Casa Blanca neighborhood in the municipality of Cajeme, according to El Universal, subjects aboard a truck shot the singer. Quintero received medical attention at the General Hospital, but at the time of his admission to the emergency room, he no longer had vital signs.

Two other young men were shot and wounded. Roberto Antonio M (21 years old) and singer Abraham Eliodoro VA (17), who was transferred to a clinic. their health status is unknown.

The attackers allegedly fled in a gray Escape vehicle and a white van.

Alex Quintero Navarro was a singer and songwriter originally from Obregón, Sonora. Among his best-known songs are ‘I am not going to rajar’ and ‘I want to tell you.

The murder occurs just 9 days after the world of regional Mexican music dressed in mourning for the death of the singer’s brother Alfredito Olivas. Irving Olivas, his wife, and son, 1 year and 8 months old, died after being attacked with gunshots on Saturday, April 17, in Zapopan, Jalisco.
