The news has been confirmed in their official profiles on social networks by the Boston band, where the musician has been remembered with the following words:
«Pixies we are devastated by the loss of guitarist Dave Philips, who is well-loved by all the bands and musicians who worked and played with him. He was a peaceful man, always spoke kindly to his fellow men, and loved life almost as much as his beloved daughter Marlowe. Those who knew him are better people because of his true sweetness »
