Luz Huerta , member of the duet “Las Hermanas Huerta”, both originally from Tampico , passed away at the age of 91 .

With the death of the Tampico singer , the musical duo with a trajectory of more than 60 years ended, as her sister Aurora passed away in November 2019.

Luz and Aurora started the musical group “Las Hermanas Huerta” in the fifties in the ranchero genre.

Some of her musical successes are:  “Cross of forgetfulness”, “In the last drink”,  “In the cantinas”, “Be for God”, “A single fall”, “When I want you have to return”, “Give me the land on top “, among many more.

Among her interpretations are songs composed by José Alfredo Jiménez and Cuco Sánchez from Altamirense.

Also, the Casa del Actor “Mario Moreno”, where he was a resident, mourned the death of the singer from Tampico.
