The host always stood out for her style, voice, and important contribution to Monterrey television, paving the way for women

MONTERREY, Nuevo León-. Leaving an indelible mark on the Monterrey public, the host Leticia Fernández Castillo passed away on Tuesday, May 11.

Noted for her style and elegance on Monterrey television, she was one of the first news anchors, as she paved the way by venturing into a world that was dominated by men in the 1980s.

The playwright and scriptwriter of Radio, TV, and Cinema, Edui Tijerina was in charge of making the unfortunate news known on social networks.

Without a doubt, Fernández Castillo was an example and motivation for many young people who followed in her footsteps, because at the beginning of Channel 3, now Televisa Monterrey, she knew how to win the affection and trust of viewers.

Although she had been away from the small screen for some time, Leticia shared important moments in the development of Nuevo León and its people. Rest in peace.
