Herman López Died At The Age Of 60

The 60-year-old Mexican actor underwent surgery at the end of August.

Through a statement on his official Facebook Fanpage last night, the death of Hermán López, a dubbing actor known for his roles in different cartoons, series, films, and animes of the 90 ‘was announced.

Herman López, a voice actor in Mexico who lent his voice to almost all of the most memorable television series of the 1990s, including the legendary X-Men: The Animated Series,  has died. His family reported the death of the artist through a message on his official Facebook account on the night of December 19.

“With deep pain Norma Iturbe Guevara (Herman’s wife), Pao Pao Ma, Perla Isa we inform you that today a great husband, father, partner, friend, unique human being transcended,” they reported. “Actor of dubbing, theater and television, Americanist of redbone, biker by passion, warrior of life and a great example of struggle. ”

The 60-year-old Mexican actor underwent surgery for spinal surgery at the end of August this year, which was complicated by an infection that led him to intensive care. During October, he had to be hospitalized for complications in his health, suffering a septic shock in mid-November, which worsened his condition.

His first performance in the dubbing world was in the 80 ′ series Los Snorkels, performed additional voices. Thanks to his versatile tone of voice, he was able to play a host of characters during his 37-year career, such as Otto Mann from The Simpsons, Austin Powers from the entire film trilogy, and Maokai from League of Legends .

He also played a large number of characters known and remembered in the ’90s, such as the Mayor of Saltadilla in The Powerpuff Girls, Justo Bolsa in Courage, the cowardly dog, Grumpy Elmer, Wolverine in X-Men, Destroyer in Las Ninja Turtles, and Ganon in The Legend of Zelda series.

Other famous roles have been Marlín in Finding Nemo, Captain Tarpals in Star Wars: Episode I, Fredo Corleone in both The Godfather, the father of Dexter in Dexter’s Laboratory, the sea turtle in Dragon Ball, Pakkun in Naruto, Cassios in Saint Seiya, and André Bourgeois in Miraculous .
