In the interview, the Mexican actor revealed what encouraged him not to commit suicide: “My mother is gone and I don’t have a family who comes to cry for me, so the truth is the least important thing to me. But my job, my career, my illusion and my passion… I still have many dreams, so I cannot be a coward and take my life. I rather want to fight even if it hurts. I prefer to fight ”.

Currently, Eduardo Yáñez is focused on his outstanding artistic career as an actor and is one of the figures that are part of the second season of the television series “Falsa Identidad” on

Telemundo. In the project, Yáñez plays the character of Mateo Corona.

In the month of March of this 2020, Eduardo Yáñez was frontal to the criticism he received for the weight gain he presented at that time: “It is very difficult because in the United States someone gets fat and they applaud him, and here someone gets fat for a character and they criticize us as fat, that’s where I leave them ”.

The interpreter mentioned that his weight gain was due to health problems he suffered: “I was having a very difficult time with pain in my back and I self-medicated, I did not know that it contained cortisone and I swelled a little. But I already realized it and I quit ”.

When referring to the criticism, Yáñez replied: “The criticism does not do more than that, criticize in the negative. You have to go in a constructive direction, I really appreciate that. The way I look physically, as an actor I have never worried about that. I am not an actor who is photographing himself in a bathing suit, I am not an actor who is sold on that side. I always try to sell my work as an actor hoping that the physical does not matter, and it does matter; try to be a thousand when I achieve it ”.
