Armando Manzanero’s Last Photo Before He Died

The world of music mourns the departure of one of the greats: Armando Manzanero, whose death was revealed this Monday by different Mexican media, including the newspaper El Universal , where the sad news was reported.

And in the midst of the manifestations of sadness and pain among the followers of the so-called King of Romanticism, a photograph shared by the musician himself about 20 days ago, was not only the last image of Manzanero shared in life by himself, but also being seen as a treasure to her fans.

In the photograph, which was posted on the singer-songwriter’s Instagram on December 7, when he celebrated his 85th birthday, the musician was seen very smiling and in good condition, but days later he began to get sick and was diagnosed with COVID- 19.

Manzanero accompanied the beautiful photograph, in which he also wore a white shirt with embroidery, with a few words of thanks for those who remembered his birthday, and stressed that he was very happy.

“To all my friends, who gave me the pleasure of hearing your congratulations on my birthday, I want to tell you that I love your gesture, that I thank with all my soul for making me happy this day with congratulations,” said the Mexican on his social network , who was originally from the city of Mérida, in the Mexican state of Yucatán. “It is something that I will keep in my heart for the rest of my days. With love… Your friend Manzanero ”.

The singer of songs such as “Somos novios”, “With you I learned” and “Adoro” was hospitalized on December 17 and according to El Universal, five days later he had to be intubated.

Manzanero’s Instagram account also shows a video shared on November 22, in which he was in his recording studio in Yucatán, surrounded by several young musicians, where he not only looked very good but also assured that in the middle the pandemic also had to continue with music.

“Happy day to all musicians”, was the message with which said publication accompanied.

Another of the images that enchanted the fans of the famous composer was a video posted in October next to the Colombian singer Sebastián Yatra, where he assured that it was an honour to meet him.

The news of the death of the great Armando Manzanero came at a time when despite his difficult state of health due to the coronavirus, the family had reported that he was not presenting problems with his lungs and even expected that the intubation equipment would be removed soon.

The Society of Authors and Composers of Mexico (SACM) also confirmed the news of the death of the music teacher, and shared a message on his Twitter where he said: “The romantic soul of Mexico and the world is in mourning. The great teacher has left ”.
