Actor Enrique Rocha Died At The Age Of 81

Enrique Rocha was charming, something that had nothing to do with the villain characters that he did on the small screen and that earned him public recognition.

This is how the actress Jacqueline Andere remembers it after hearing the news of the death of her partner that occurred this Sunday at the age of 81.

“He was always in a good mood and that’s very nice, I really admire people who have a sense of humor because that implies having intelligence,” he said on the phone.

“What sad news but he was a personality within our artistic life and that we shared many things together from the Zona Rosa when ‘El Perro andaluz’, a wonderful little restaurant, had very nice parties at El Rochón.”

The news of his death was confirmed by Wepublishnew through Óscar Espejel, who pointed out this Sunday afternoon that the actor left due to natural death, as he had no health problems.

The one born in Silao, Guanajuato, in 1940, moved to the then Federal District when he was just 14 years old to continue his studies in religious schools and later in architecture, but it was while in the capital that he felt he needed freedom.

“Regardless of the good actor and his unmatched voice, he was a great man, hard-working, he lived life, he enjoyed, that’s what I stay.” Carla Estrada. Producer

As he himself told EL UNIVERSAL in 2006, the performance came to him out of curiosity when, at the invitation of a friend, he went to see a theater rehearsal on the grounds of the Faculty of Architecture, where Juan José Gurrola was directing non-professional actors already lack of one of them invited him to come up on stage.

“I really liked the stage environment, the lights, the scenery, the acting work. It seemed like a beautiful and fascinating world to me, I just stayed forever ”.
So it was. Rocha found her place in acting and especially in the villains she played in soap operas such as Las vía del Amor (2002-2003), El privilegio de amar (1998-1999) and Rebelde (2004-2006).

Pasión y poder (1988), I buy that woman (1990) and Two women one way (1993-1994) were just some of the productions that led him to receive national awards as Best Villain. He also did voice work as can be heard in the dubbing of The Jungle Book (2016), where he played Bagheera.

Friends say goodbye.

In addition to Andere, another of the figures of his generation, such as Eric del Castillo, shared with this medium some parting words for his partner: “What a great shame, a magnificent actor with an extraordinary voice and with a life as beautiful as the I was wearing it, it hurts a lot, ”Eric pointed out.

The actor explained that he worked very little with Rocha, only years ago in a play, but he kept abreast of Enrique’s career and was very happy to hear from him. In addition, he regrets that key figures from the Mexican entertainment industry are leaving.

“Many people are already leaving and worst of all, I am not saying it for myself, but for him and others, many of our figures are leaving. We are being left alone, without figures, and strong figures of the stature of these characters have not stood out lately ”, considered Del Castillo.

“Enrique was a very broad actor with regard to interpreting characters, he was not very closed to a line of characters, very bright, with a wonderful voice and a very free way of living, to his liking, very beautiful for him,” he added.

Producer Carla Estrada, who worked with him on projects such as El privilegio de amar and for the last time in the series Silvia Pinal, in front of you, remembered him as a man who really enjoyed his life.

“Regardless of the good actor and the unique voice that he had, he was a great man, hard-working, he lived life, he enjoyed, that’s what I stay, a bit of tranquility because he always enjoyed life,” he shared.

“He lived well, he enjoyed everything, he enjoyed himself. A hug and my condolences to the whole family, “he said.
