The Mandalorian: Rescue, Return of a Jedi, and Everything That Happened at the End of Season 2

Two characters from the “Star Wars” universe appeared in the last episode of season 2 of “The Mandalorian.”

BEWARE, SPOILER ALERT. In the last episode of the second season of “The Mandalorian”, Din Djarin finally knows the location of Moff Gideon and prepares to rescue Grogu / Baby Yoda, but first, he must find allies to infiltrate his enemy’s ship and confront to the Dark Troopers.

‘ Chapter 16: The Rescue ‘ (2×08), begins with command requesting the help of Bo-Katan and Koska Reeves, although at first they refuse and even one faces Boba Fett, in the end they agree in exchange for recovering the Darksaber to get the restoration of Mandalore.

After Mando, Cara, and Boba Fett hijack Dr Pershing’s escort ship on Slave-I, the team takes his place and feigns a chase to get the Imperial cruiser to allow them entry. As the firefight begins and Mando scurries to Grogu, the Dark Troopers prepare to attack.

Although Mando manages to trap most of the Dark Troopers in his cargo hold, one breaks free and gives Din a tough fight, who only gets rid of the droid by decapitating him. Before continuing on his way, Djarin expels the rest into space.

THE POWER OF THE DARKSABER

When the women arrive at the command bridge they do not find Gideon, since the leader of the Empire is in Grogu’s cell threatening him with the Darksaber. When Moff is cornered, he tries to negotiate with Mando, promising to free Baby Yoda in exchange for letting him keep the weapon that Bo-Katan longs for.

Mando agrees, but obviously, it’s a trap, so fans of ” The Mandalorian ” witness the power of the Darksaber and the pure steel of Beskar. The battle ends with the capture of Gideon and the rescue of Grogu; However, the tension shifts to the cockpit as it is revealed that the only way to reclaim the Mandalorian throne is to snatch the Darksaber from the opponent.

Before Bo-Katan and Koska Reeves attempt to fight for the weapon, the Dark Troopers return and threaten the crew. They close the armored doors, but it is a matter of time before they are attacked, then an X-Wing boards the ship and a new hope appears.

THE RETURN OF SKYWALKER

A Jedi with a green saber disposes of the Dark Troopers without much difficulty and finally reaches the cockpit. It is about none other than Luke Skywalker, who sensed the power of Grogu and is willing to train and protect him.

After an emotional farewell between Mando and Baby Yoda, Grogu reaches out to Luke and R2-D2, another comeback that will definitely drive “Star Wars” fans crazy. The Jedi takes the child and says goodbye saying the classic phrase: “May the force be with you.”

The second season of ” The Mandalorian ” ends with a post-credits scene, where Fennec and Boba Fett visit Jabba’s palace on Tatooine, murder him, and take his throne. Also, “The Boba Fett Book” is reportedly coming in 2021.
