He dies, aged 29, country singer Yago. A musician from Paraná was pure talent.
Country singer Yago, who was a duo with his brother Santhiago, died on Wednesday night (29), aged 29, as a result of a pneumothorax while being treated for lymphoma. Yago had been performing the treatment since December 17th at the Erasto Gaertner Hospital, in Curitiba. Yago gained national repercussion after a video with imitations of several Brazilian artists. Remember it in the video below and also on the duo’s social networks.
Pneumothorax occurs when air leaks from the lungs and invades the chest area. The condition can be caused by lung disease or chest injuries. Shortness of breath is one of the main symptoms. Santhiago shared a message on social media lamenting the death of his friend after 15 years of partnership on stage. “My life is simply aimless, I don’t know how I’m going to continue and if I’m going to continue”, affirmed Yago’s faithful companion.
Despite the pain, Santhiago made a point of thanking the fans for their prayers. “I was not aware of the size of the name we had. I didn’t imagine that”, he reported on social media.
The wake takes place this Thursday (30), from 8 am, in chapel 2 of the Colonia Orleans Parish Cemetery. The burial will be at the same place, at 2 pm.
Yago was born in Caieiras (SP) and at the age of 6, he was already singing in the Raul Gil Program. At the age of 9, she joined the second formation of Trem da Alegria, which had the presenter Eliana as godmother.
The shows with his brother Santhiago began in bars in Largo da Ordem, in the Historic Center of Curitiba, in 2011. It was at one of these events that the current manager got to know the band’s talent. From then on, the duo toured the country singing sertanejo.
The career came to suffer some stoppages in 2018 when Yago was diagnosed with lymphoma. The duo’s last concert was in Bento Gonçalves (RS), in November of this year.
